Getting my HP Mini last Monday (For signing up TM-Net Uni-Pack Streamyx), and by that night, i formated it from Windows 7 Starter to Ubuntu Netbook Ver 10.04. Actually, a 1GB ram, Atom processor netbook, is it really able to run Windows 7 starter? with all those graphical effect on? I don't think so...
After a few day trying out with Ubuntu Netbook version, i feel like i like the normal version more, but the netbook version is somehow a good start for those who wish to try on Ubuntu. With those basic software installed, for sure, no Microsoft Office, you have to use Open Office by Oracle(Sun previously). Most of the function in Microsoft Office was available in Open Office too, the only different is the graphic for Microsoft Office may make it look better than Open Office.
Some trouble for Ubuntu or and Linux, you might need to install all those media files codec first before you could play them, there is an easy solution, install VideoLan media player. Once install, most of those popular codec you need will be available. Movie or video files playing with VideoLan at Ubuntu netbook ver will be laggy if running a busy web browser or lots of program on the background, as you know, i just have 1 GB of ram.
Graphic Design. A replacement for Photoshop in Linux was GIMP, even that it may not have lots of those function or filter in ps, but it's was good among the free photo/graphic editing software. 3D animating, modeling or rendering? Blender~ The only choice for me, i believe.
Programming? Yeah, for web development such as PHP, JSP and so on, the preferable choice still will be XAMPP~ The editor ? As what i used at Desktop version, GEdit, or what we called Notepad in Windows. For ASP? You need to used those Windows simulation software for Linux, to install those Visual Studio, cause i couldn't find any product yet for ASP programming better than Visual Studio. C,C++,Java and so on, all those can be done by Eclipse~
Post my screen shot after my exam, i have AI test tomorrow. Wish i am good luck ~

Microsoft Provides a tool to do this for you - Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool which is available for download here. If you need instructions on how to use the tool, see the Microsoft Store Help on the ISO-Tool (http://store.microsoft.com/Help/ISO-Tool).
It surprised me to find that there are very few dead-simple guides to creating a bootable USB thumb/pen/flash drive for a Vista and/or Windows 7 installation. I cobbled together the following from VistaPCGuy and another source I don’t remember right now.
This will walk through the steps to create a bootable USB flash drive for the purpose of installing a Vista or Windows 7 OS. These instructions assume that you have a computer with Windows Vista installed on it.
Required:
- USB Flash Drive (4GB+)
- Microsoft OS Disk (Vista / Windows 7)
- A computer running Vista / Windows 7
Step 1: Format the Drive
The steps here are to use the command line to format the disk properly using the diskpart utility. [Be warned: this will erase everything on your drive. Be careful.]
- Plug in your USB Flash Drive
- Open a command prompt as administrator (Right click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt and select “Run as administrator”
- Find the drive number of your USB Drive by typing the following into the Command Prompt window:
diskpart
list disk
The number of your USB drive will listed. You’ll need this for the next step. I’ll assume that the USB flash drive is disk 1. - Format the drive by typing the next instructions into the same window. Replace the number “1” with the number of your disk below.
select disk 1
clean
create partition primary
select partition 1
active
format fs=NTFS
assign
exit
When that is done you’ll have a formatted USB flash drive ready to be made bootable.
Step 2: Make the Drive Bootable
Next we’ll use the bootsect utility that comes on the Vista or Windows 7 disk to make the flash drive bootable. In the same command window that you were using in Step 1:
- Insert your Windows Vista / 7 DVD into your drive.
- Change directory to the DVD’s boot directory where bootsect lives:
d:
cd d:\boot - Use bootsect to set the USB as a bootable NTFS drive prepared for a Vista/7 image. I’m assuming that your USB flash drive has been labeled disk G:\ by the computer:
bootsect /nt60 g: - You can now close the command prompt window, we’re done here.
Step 3: Copy the installation DVD to the USB drive
The easiest way is to use Windows explorer to copy all of the files on your DVD on to the formatted flash drive. After you’ve copied all of the files the disk you are ready to go.
Step 4: Set your BIOS to boot from USB
This is where you’re on your own since every computer is different. Most BIOS’s allow you to hit a key at boot and select a boot option.
It's been about three week, i'm back to Kampar. Feel lazy to update my blog, and today i have the mood to post something, and i did find out something useful to share. I am now working part time in a IT retails shop, as a Computer Technician. Even thought most of the time, those machine are fix by my colleague, Jayness, and i was just help on some of those minor cases.
Hiren's BootCD 10.1
A very good utilities CD with lots of checking and diagnostic tools bundle in a single CD image, which cost only about ~200MB. Inside the CD, it's including those popular diagnostic tools such as Memtest86+ 4.00 for memory test, Seagate Seatools Graphical v2.13b and Western Digital Diagnostics (DLGDIAG) 5.04f for hard disk checking, and lots more other tools for both hardware and software check. These are very useful for those technician like me, which might have limited of resources for checking the hardware status. These tools may not help on all the problem, but at least it will be useful when you are having hard time to convince your customer that their hardware are having problem, you can print out the test result from these tools.

Our brain pulses and vibrates like everything in this Universe. The brain pulse is measured like sound in cycles per second or Hertz. The machine used to make the measure is called an ElectroEncephaloGraph (EEG). While this machine has its limitation, we can still use it to categorize brain activity with more or less accuracy. In the future, scientist will certainly come up with a more precise technology.
Brainwaves are categorized in 4 categories : Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta.
Beta (13- 40 cycles per second)
Beta is associated with our waking activity. During a day we experience all the brainwave patterns with a predominance of Beta.
Alpha (8-13 cycles per second)
The first pattern discovered in 1908 by an Austrian Psychiatrist named Hans Berger. Alpha pattern appears when in wakefulness where there is a relaxed and effortless alertness. Light meditation and day dreaming. It is recommend to practice your creative visualization and auto-suggestion technique in alpha state.
Theta (4-7 cycles per second)
Associated with creativity, dreams and Extra-sensory perception for the student the theta state is something to learn to go at will. They are countless ways to reach theta , so I will not talk about that. Theta is simply the state where your ESP can operates , if you do the proper work you can learn to enter theta at will and perform most of the psychic activities. Now, we use the EEG to measure the thing. The EEG has limitation specially I can tell you for example to go in theta to perform consciousness travel in the past centuries to meet with the consciousness of a Leonardo DaVinci. The EEG cannot measure this and this feat occur certainly somewhere beyond Delta.
Delta (1/2 - 4 cycles per second)
Delta is associated with deep sleep, this pattern is very slow, however, this brain waves pattern is important for the explorer of consciousness , the EEG is no help to grade, when occur X or Y in the delta range. If you work to merge with the mass consciousness of our planet you need to work in delta, the first step will be to learn to be conscious in your dreams, you can do that, you can go further in the exploration. Astral projection or Out of Body experience occurs in Delta. The EEG will not be able to really measure in what state you are in, because, it is not a sophisticated machine.

Nowadays there is quite a lots of number of the fake movie torrent, many people said it's the hacker's job who want to promote their site. There is also some people said that it's the entertainment company hire these people to create these fake torrent to reduce the number of download of their movie through torrent. Even verified Movies (aXXo, FXG, FxM, KLAXXON, DUQA, ..), now also got the fake one...
so, it's not easy to search for new movie, which have a good movie quality...
And also my favorite site of torrent searching site is already closed, due to some policy conflict...
Now the only thing i rely on for downloading movie is those china torrent site, it's provide not very good quality of movie, but watchable. yet it download speed also better then those western country one.
